FAQ's of Shaking Machine Rotary (Horizontal):
Q: How do I operate the rotary shaking machine safely in the laboratory?
A: To operate the rotary shaking machine, place it on a stable, level surface and ensure all flasks are securely fastened to the adjustable platform using the provided clamps. Use the speed control regulator to set the desired shaking speed (within 50-250 RPM), and, if required, set the timer using either the digital or mechanical option. Always make sure the machine is powered by a 230 V AC single-phase supply before starting.
Q: What types of laboratory applications are suitable for this shaker?
A: This rotary shaker is ideal for mixing, agitation, and shaking of samples such as solutions in flasks, making it suitable for various applications, including biology, chemistry, and pharmaceutical labs. Its design accommodates up to 12 flasks of 250 ml or approximately 6-7 litres, supporting protocols that require uniform sample mixing.
Q: When should I use the removable and adjustable platform feature?
A: You should use the removable and adjustable platform when handling samples of differing sizes or when the number and arrangement of flasks change. Adjusting or removing the platform allows you to reconfigure the shaker to best meet the requirements of your experiment or process, optimizing space and ensuring secure placement of all containers.
Q: Where should the table-top rotary shaker be installed for optimal performance?
A: For optimal performance, install the shaker on a flat, stable, and vibration-free table or laboratory bench. Ensure the area is dry and adequately ventilated, and the machine is placed away from direct sources of heat, moisture, or corrosive substances to maintain its powder-coated, corrosion-resistant finish.
Q: What is the process for adjusting the shaking speed and monitoring accuracy?
A: The shaking speed is controlled by a regulator located on the front panel. Select the desired speed, which is displayed via either an analog or dial indicator. The shaker maintains a speed accuracy of 2 RPM, ensuring consistent performance for sensitive laboratory processes.
Q: How does the gear-driven, continuous duty motor benefit laboratory workflows?
A: The gear-driven continuous duty motor provides reliable, uninterrupted shaking even during extended operations. Its robust design minimizes vibrations and noise, enabling precise and consistent mixing, which is essential for repeatable lab results and a quieter work environment.
Q: What maintenance is required to ensure long-term durability of the shaker?
A: Regularly check that the clamps and platform are securely fastened, and clean the surfaces to remove sample spills or dust. Inspect the power cord and plug for damage, and periodically verify that the speed control and timer function correctly. The powder-coated finish and corrosion-resistant materials simplify maintenance, promoting long-term durability.
