About Bench Signal Generator

Sine and square wave generator. Frequency range 5 Hz to 50 kHz in four switched ranges plus a fine control. Accuracy typically -/+ 10%. The output amplitude is continuously variable from zero to maximum 8 V peak to peak with maximum output power 1 W into 8 ohms. The output is taken from two 4 mm sockets mounted on the front panel. An illuminated on/off switch is mounted on the rear panel adjacent to a fused IEC mains inlet. Enclosed in a plastic moulded case.

Precision Signal Output for Versatile Applications

Engineered for professionals in laboratories, research, and educational settings, this bench signal generator delivers precise and stable frequency outputs from 10Hz to 1MHz. Its variable amplitude and selectable waveforms make it an essential tool for electrical testing and experimentation.

Robust Construction and User-Friendly Design

Encased in high-quality metal and finished in white/grey, the unit combines durability with practicality. The ergonomic layout features rotary knobs or push buttons and a clear analog or LED display, ensuring easy setup and operation while occupying minimal bench space.

FAQ's of Bench Signal Generator:

Q: How do I adjust the output amplitude and frequency on this bench signal generator?

A: You can adjust the output amplitude up to 20V peak-to-peak (no load) and select the frequency within a 10Hz to 1MHz range using the rotary knobs or push buttons on the front panel. Control is precise, allowing for tailored signal requirements during experimentation.

Q: What types of waveforms can this signal generator output?

A: This device can produce sine, square, and triangle waveforms, offering flexibility for a variety of testing and simulation scenarios in both educational and research environments.

Q: When is AM or FM modulation available with this signal generator?

A: AM/FM modulation options are available if specified at the time of purchase. If your application requires modulation, check the model specifications or consult your supplier before ordering.

Q: Where is this signal generator typically used?

A: The generator is ideal for laboratories, R&D departments, and educational institutions, where accurate and reliable signal generation is crucial for experiments, demonstrations, and instrumentation testing.

Q: What is the process for setting up and operating the equipment?

A: Simply connect the unit to an AC 220V, 50Hz mains supply, select your desired waveform and frequency, adjust output amplitude as needed, and connect to your test circuit. The signal is displayed and controlled via analog or LED indicators for convenience.

Q: How does the low distortion benefit my signal testing applications?

A: Low-distortion output ensures that the generated signals closely match the intended waveform without unwanted harmonics or noise, providing more accurate and reliable results during circuit analysis or calibration.
